Nowadays though, neither Masahiro Chono or The Great Muta work with New Japan Pro Wrestling anymore. Chono has taken a role behind the scenes at All Japan Pro Wrestling while Muta founded his own promotion in 2013 called Wrestle-1. If you’ve been paying attention over the past couple of years, you might’ve caught Muta representing his Wrestle-1 company on various TNA cards.
Guess he’s one of the final NWA/WCW holdouts never to have worked in the WWE. Here’s to hoping for an appearance sometime in the new year!
